Hi Team, Congratulations to all of our New England qualifiers on an exciting meet this weekend! Results have been posted in SwimTopia, but before we get into the recognitions, I wanted to share a SAVE THE DATE for our team banquet:

Now onto some highlights from the weekend: 

11–12 Age Group 

Some notable swims from the 11–12 session included:

• Penny Lin – 1st in the 50 Fly and 2nd in the 100 Back
• Anton Chen – 1st in the 100 Free and 2nd in the 50 Free
• Hunter Acciardo – 2nd in the 50 Breast

The 11 & Under girls team finished 4th, while the boys team finished 3rd, for an overall team finish of 3rd place.

15 & Over

For our 15 & Over swimmers:

• Finn Pansa placed 2nd in the 100 Fly

The girls team finished 8th, the boys finished 9th, and the group placed 9th overall. 8 & Under

Our 8 & Under swimmers had a strong showing, with just three girls competing. The girls finished 13th, while the boys finished 7th, for an overall team finish of 7th place. 

9–10 Age Group 

Our biggest surprise of the day came from the 9–10 swimmers! 

The Medley Relay team of Teddy Antonio, Will Shearer, Leo Zhang, and Christopher Wazecha took 1st place in what may have been the most exciting relay finish of the weekend. 

The Free Relay team of George Hickin, Will Shearer, Christopher Wazecha, and Leo Zhang also dominated their race and brought home 1st place. 

Leo Zhang was our team’s high point winner, placing:

• 1st in the 50 Back
• 1st in the 100 Free
• 1st in the 100 Back

The girls team finished 9th, and the boys earned our first-ever 1st place team finish! Overall, the 9–10 group placed 3rd. 13–14 Age Group

Our final age group to compete was the 13–14 year olds:

• Charlotte Erickson placed 2nd in both the 200 Free and 500 Free
• Khaterina Tomasso placed 3rd in the 200 IM

The girls team finished 8th, the boys finished 11th, and the group placed 10th overall. 

Team Finish 

As a combined team, Bayside finished 7th place out of more than 50 teams in attendance. 

Congratulations again to all of our swimmers on an incredible weekend. We are so proud of everyone and look forward to celebrating together at the banquet!
